I think we might have some time before we need to worry about AI becoming an imposing force in the general cinematic domain. Horror, however? There AI might excel beyond humans have ever been able to. This reel will explain my point.

I don't know if it's accurate to say that "only those who have stolen from others will be exploited" -- I could easily see people ripping off Bladerunner or Pulp Fiction, for their own self-aggrandizing efforts. (see the recent Elon Musk lawsuit brought by the creators of Bladerunner 2049) Great filmmakers will always have their work imitated -- generative tools just make this theft easier and harder to detect.
